Before joining Griffith & Hughes, Minnie worked for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) for 14 years as a Senior Licensing Investigative Analyst before she retired from her career with TABC in December 2024. During her time with the TABC, she assisted business owners, attorneys and licensing services with obtaining the proper Texas liquor licenses for their business models, processing thousands of TABC applications.
She approved and reviewed temporary event requests to ensure the events were compliant with state and local laws and made sure permit holders understood what activities their temporary permit authorized. Minie also worked with local officials around the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex to answer their questions and provide guidance on the Alcoholic Beverage Code, and assisted with training and mentoring new TABC licensing employees.
Minnie understood each TABC customer had unique circumstances and worked hard to ensure the information and guidance provided to each customer was accurate and helpful as they navigated the daunting TABC licensing process so that applicants could get their TABC licenses as quickly as possible. She assisted with the implementation of the TABC’s online AIMS system that launched in September 2021, becoming an AIMS expert and a go-to AIMs customer service representative for the DFW region.
Minnie’s experience, established working relationships with local officials, and a deep understanding of Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code make her a vital asset to the Griffith & Hughes team and our clients.
