Governor Abbott Issues Waiver Allowing TABC Permits Expiring After March 13, 2020 to be Renewed
Updated: Oct 12, 2020

Normally, a renewal application for any permit or license issued by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) must be submitted on or before the 30th day after the permit expires, or the permit is lost and the former permit-holder must file an original application. However, yesterday, Governor Abbott temporarily waived this 30 day grace period deadline; permits or licenses that expired on or after March 13, 2020 can still be renewed without paying a late penalty. Here is the link to the Governor's waiver.
